Building Information Modeling is essentially the application of 3D modeling software in developing Architectural/ Engineering drawings. The term Building Information Modeling (BIM) was coined by Autodesk to describe "3D, object-oriented, AEC-specific CAD".

EHKA&A uses AutoCAD Revit MEP Suite, as our design solution for mechanical, electrical & plumbing engineering CAD requirements. This comprehensive tool enables our firm to effectively design and coordinate each trade, with conflict resolution as it happens. Enhanced visualizations and 3D orientations provide clarity in the design & coordination process.

The benefits of  BIM in the coordination process has proven effective in consolidating the various MEP contractors & sub-contractors, at the time of installation. "Knowing and seeing" clearly where individual parts fit, reduces a substantial amount of duplication. Having to remove installed elements of one trade to make allowance for another is virtually eliminated. This translates into reduced costs of installation & construction, as well as saved manhours.
